Privacy Policy
This explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. We kept it in plain language on purpose.
Last updated 2026
Guth is a product of Guth Labs LLC. We help small business owners get a website, a simple dashboard for their business, and tools to post to their social accounts. To do that well we need to handle some of your information. This page tells you exactly what that means.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to run your site, your dashboard, and your posts.
- Business details you give us. Your business name, what you do, your hours, location, services, prices, and anything else you tell us so we can build and run your website and dashboard.
- Photos and media you upload. Images, video, and other files you add so we can put them on your site or use them in your social posts.
- The content of your requests. When you ask Guth to do something, like draft a post or change your site, we keep what you asked so we can do it and so the product can get better at it.
- Access tokens for accounts you connect. If you choose to connect a social account such as Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok, we store the access token those services give us so we can post and check performance for you.
- Basic usage analytics. General information about how the product is used, like which features get used and basic technical details, so we can keep it working and improve it.
You decide what to share. If you do not give us something, some parts of the product may not work, but that choice is yours.
How we use it
- To build and run your website and your business dashboard.
- To draft, schedule, and publish your social posts when you ask us to.
- To read back how your posts and your business are doing, so you can see it in your dashboard.
- To improve the product, fix problems, and make Guth better at the work you ask for.
We do not sell your information.
Connected accounts
When you connect a social account, we use the access it gives us for one purpose, to post on your behalf and to read how those posts perform. We do not use that access for anything else.
You can disconnect any connected account at any time. When you disconnect, we stop using that account and remove the stored token for it. You can also remove our access from inside the social platform itself.
Google and YouTube data
When you connect a YouTube channel, Guth uses Google's YouTube Data API to upload the videos you choose to your own channel and to read how those uploads perform. We access this only with your explicit consent on Google's sign-in screen, and only for that purpose.
Guth's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not let any human read it except with your explicit permission, for security purposes, or as required by law. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google Account or by disconnecting the channel in Guth.
Who else is involved
To run the product we rely on a few outside services. They only handle the information needed for their part of the job.
- Meta for Instagram and Facebook, when you connect those accounts.
- TikTok, when you connect that account.
- Google / YouTube, when you connect a YouTube channel, to upload your videos to your own channel.
- A cloud database provider that stores your data securely for us.
- A payment processor, once billing is turned on, to handle your subscription. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
Your rights
Your information is yours. You can ask us to:
- Access a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Export your data so you can take it with you.
- Delete your data and close your account.
To make any of these requests, email hello@getguth.com and we will take care of it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you have an account, so the product keeps working for you. If you ask us to delete it, or you close your account, we remove your data, except for the small amount we may need to keep for legal or billing reasons. Backups roll off over time on their normal schedule.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit who can reach it. No system online is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with care and only hold what we need.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page. If a change is significant, we will let you know.
